Plug-In North Central Washington signed on as a paid participant of the Chelan Earth Day Fair and participated in their virtual Earth Day event. We had video presentations and a “live” breakout room. Our live portion was conducted from the Pybus Public Market where they were holding a Sustainable Wenatchee event.
We are sorry to report that all of our anticipated Earth Day activities were cancelled due to health concerns. Chelan Earth Day Fair, Levanworth Earth Day Community Fair, Wenatchee Valley College Earth Day and Central Washington University Earth Day were all impacted by state mandated requirements to help prevent spread of the COVID-19 virus. We anticipate a great Earth Day in 2021.
Yes, the community has come together and agreed to host an Earth Day event this year. Plug-In NCW will be there with electric cars and perhaps a few other things. More to come.
We have been asked, so we are going… As we learn more it will be shared here.

Because "Pedal Assist" or e-Bikes are putting many people back on a bicycle we thought it would be fun to get together and share experiences. The "e-Bike Burrito Ride" is an informal meet up, any brand of e-Bike is welcome, and to be honest any bicycle is welcome. If you just want to see and maybe try an e-Bike there will be some e-Bikes available for that too.
We plan to meet up near the EV charger at the Pybus Market for some "meeting and greeting", then we can ride some if we get around to it. If not, we will just talk then eat lunch at the South Restraunt which is in the Pybus Market. Even though the event has the word Burrito in it, you can order anything you like.

Plug-In NCW plans to display electric drive vehicles of many types and provide an opportunity for the public to ride in and talk to EV owners. This is the parking lot between Commercial Printing and Dusty's Drive In.
Plug-In NCW and the Wenatchee Electric Vehicle Association are sponsoring a demonstration drive this Spring. "Charge across Washington" is planned to highlight that an EV80 can now drive from Everett to Spokane along recently electrified US Highway 2. Our driver team, Randy and Anne are experienced Leaf drivers and their car "Bean" is the machine. The Mayor of Everett will send them off on the 7th of June with a letter to the Mayor of Spokane. We are organizing EV introduction events at the charging stops along the way. Our destination is the historic Montvale Hotel in Spokane. "Bean" can get a L2 charge while Ed and Wendy get some rest in one of their exceptionally nice rooms.

Can you help us? We really would like many Spokane area EVs to meet "Bean" and her drivers while they charge at Davenport, WA so that local residents that come by can see and talk to real EV drivers and hear about their experiences, challenges and triumphs. We also would like to have as many EV drivers as we can at the Montvale Hotel, Spokane, WA for the reception. So, we are not asking for your money, but we are asking for something more valuable, your involvement.
